Yes! COOC-certification is the oldest and most trusted U.S. certification process for EVOO that requires strict independent laboratory testing to ensure authenticity and quality.

Dr. Nemechek has personally selected a specific blend of olives from only the highest quality California orchards to insure high levels of health-promoting phenols without sacrificing the mild and buttery taste.

Phenols are a wide range of naturally-occurring molecules  found in many different natural plant-based foods. Within olive oil, the phenol content and type determine the health benefit of the oil.

Multiple studies indicate that counts in the 200-400 range are required to improve health.  Most commercial EVOO is less than 50.

The important thing is to get 5 mg of olive oil phenols per day in your diet.  More than this has not been shown to provide extra health benefits.

Some brands have phenol counts of 1000-3000.  There is no evidence these higher levels provide more benefit.

They often are far more expensive and have such a strong taste that some people do not enjoy the flavor.

Blended for a mild taste yet a high phenol content of Nemechek Gold Olio Medico has a phenol count of 429 gallic eq mg/kg and our Olio Organic has a phenol count of 198 gallic eq mg/kg. Nemechek Gold  provides a minimum of 5 mg of polyphenols in every 2 tablespoons (30 ml).  This is the amount of phenols required to improve a person's health.

If properly stored, Nemechek Gold Extra Virgin Olive Oil will provide this critical amount of phenols over a 18 month storage period.

Our high-tech storage bags ensure Nemechek Gold EVOO retains its freshness during storage by also preventing deterioration from light exposure, phenol loss, and oxygen exposure as the container empties.

Our oil will remain fresh for up to 24 months in the oxygen-free pouch. The bags can be stored at room temperature.

Nemechek Gold will be sold in high tech pouches designed for oils such as olive oil.  Using these bags limits the waste and expense of shipping glass bottles but is even more effective at preserving the olive oil over longer periods of time.

The pouches also block out light, prevent phenol loss and very little oxygen will enter the bag as it empties.

The 'air' that enters common olive oil bottles or jugs as as they are being emptied contains oxygen which is the most causes olive oil to spoil or in scientific terms, 'oxidize'.

Our pouches provide the single more effective solution for olive oil home storage on the market.

Our bags are lined with PET (polyethylene terephthalate) a common lining used across the food industry and is recommended by the University of California Davis Olive Center.

PET is also more resistant to penetration by fatty molecules and resistant to penetration of oxygen or other gases.

Many people are consuming olive oil to improve their health.

Dr. Nemechek recommends adults consume 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of extra virgin olive oil that contains 5 mg of polyphenols.

This amount also contains enough of the important omega-9 fatty acid, oleic acid.

Our 3 liter bag contains, 3000 ml which is equal to 100, 2 tablespoon servings or a little over 90 day supply for 1 adult.

No, it is not.  Most olive oil is not organic because of the methods used to protect the olive trees from gophers, not because chemicals were sprayed on the trees.

Absolutely.  Common cooking temperatures will not damage olive oil nor make it unsafe to consume.

Adding the olive oil directly to your food is the best way to maintain its full health benefit.  High cooking temperatures will cause some phenol loss.

Absolutely! There are no ingredients that would be harmful in either condition. However, if you are concerned, you may want to consult with your health care professional.
